Documentation ![]()
In the process of developing a software solution or a website, documentation stands alone as the single most important step. For both the client and the development team documents serve as a written record that verifies both parties’ expectations of the final product. Size and scope aside, all projects require some level of documentation. Depending on the size and scope of the project IBT determines the level of documentation necessary. The general documentation progression that IBT uses is listed below
Basic Requirements
IBT will gather the basic requirements from the client to develop a proposed solution upon which we can project time and cost estimates.
System Requirements Solution (SRS)
The SRS is a more detailed approach to clearly identify user requirements. This document is used by the technical team to determine what will be required in the functional design and development.
Software Development Description (SDD)
This document is prepared to explain the technical details and requirements for proper functional implementation of the design.
Testing
To be sure that all requirements are satisfied test cases are developed for each module being implemented in the development process. The test documents are based off the expected inputs and outputs detailed in the SRS.
